NIN Remixes
nin remix Zero-Sum [BrainFeverMusic]
A byzantine approach to a minimalist song, this is a complex and intricate new production of "Zero Sum".  This version echoes with a haunting female Bulgarian solo vocalist, percussion ensemble, and multiple layers of guitars, all mixed into a twisted "Hans Zimmer meets Korn" whirlpool of sonic chaos. Only the piano and voice tracks from original song survive this radical reconstructive surgery of sonic dimensions.

In This Twilight [BrainFeverMusic]
A heavy pounding pulsating version of "In This Twilight", from NIN's Year Zero album. Every sound you hear except vocals is newly performed and produced by James Grote.

Spinal Tap Remixes
Spinal Tap logo Big Bottom  (Phat Mix)
Take the thoughtful and beautiful lyrics of the original, mixed with the freshest beats and a huge low end, and you have the touching Big Bottom Phat Mix.

Sex Farm Woman  (Candle-lit Dinner Mix)
A Spinal Tap classic, already known for its sensitivity and delicate moments, now masterfully remixed into a warmer softer musical piece, creating a soothing romance hit that can't be ignored.

Heavy Duty  (Trippin' Mix)
This version of Heavy Duty, though still very heavy, has sped up considerably, as if under a heavy duty dose of illegally-obtained amphetamines.  Highly addictive!

Toccata Con Fuoco
This is a very intense electronic interpretation of Keith Emerson's Piano Concerto No. 1 - 3rd movement: Toccata Con Fuoco.  James has taken the original score, written for piano and orchestra, and fully realized it in a very modern, driving techno context.  From the driving ostinato bass line to the soaring full choir chords, this modern rendition is a thrilling ride that is at once recognizable, yet so very different with a startling new perspective on the original.

In a Gadda da Vida
Take a great song from the 60s that rocks but also has some trancy moments, and give it a thoroughly modern make-over.
